CANDY uses Nestle Jersey for its lining. It's about 40% stretchier than regular jersey, and you'll be amazed by its fluffy softness, gentle feel against the skin and supreme comfort.
CANDY lets you choose the wetsuit thickness (2 mm or 3 mm), whether or not to have thumb loops on the sleeves, and one of 3 hip cuts, including one for those who want more coverage! UMMY × Mellow Side Story
UMMY had actually been planning wetsuits since 2022, before the brand even launched, and it took about 3 years to bring them to market. Without a factory of its own, UMMY negotiated, planned and developed with many wetsuit makers, but struggled day after day to produce a wetsuit that would truly impress customers. Then UMMY fell in love at first sight with the innovative designs of wetsuits by the surf brand Mellow, and reached out to them. That was the beginning of our partnership.
Mellow's wetsuits stand out for their reliable, cost-effective Japanese-made quality and innovative, stylish designs never before seen in the freediving industry. Above all, UMMY was moved by the flexible, energetic and passionate attitude of Mellow's president, and decided to form a partnership. By combining UMMY's ability to deliver on customer needs with Mellow's technology, we have created wetsuits that truly impress our customers.
January–August: about 1 month
September–December: about 1.5 to 2 months. We recommend ordering early to allow plenty of time.
Identification numbers are handwritten on each part of the lining. They will fade with use.
Size alterations may be possible. Please let us know which part needs adjusting and by how many centimeters. (Paid service)
UMMY's office on the main island of Okinawa lets you try on wetsuits and see the fabric colors in person. Visits are by appointment only, so please contact us if you'd like to come.
